Farm Fresh Eggs
Our hens live in their portable shelters from spring to fall. They get moved regularly to a fresh area. They act as a natural insecticide that the bugs never develop resistance against. They also function as cow manure spreaders (as well as their own) as a natural outcome of them scratching, trying to find larvae in the cow pies. Once the ground freezes in the fall, they get moved to a permanent shelter. The shelter has plentiful natural lighting and has lots of room scratch in dry bedding. They are supplemented with feed mix made of locally sourced non-gmo grains.
